Ten years in a row on the Legal Eagles list doesn't happen by chance. It happens because Tom Spadea has spent decades doing the same thing over and over, showing up for clients, mentoring young attorneys, and treating franchising as a relationship business rather than a numbers game.
Before Tom was an attorney, he was a small business owner and later a franchise broker. He led franchise development and real estate at Rita's Italian Ice, then worked toward his law degree at night at Temple while still working full time. That path gave him a perspective most franchise attorneys don't have, one built from the business side of the table.
Today Tom passes that same mindset on to the attorneys at Spadea Lignana, encouraging them to think past the paperwork and understand what clients are actually building. His recognition as a Franchise Times Magazine Legal Eagle, now for the tenth year running, is proof that approach works.
